What Is A Mobile PCB?
Mobile PCB is a small circuit board that is designed for analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion of mobile phones. A Mobile PCB board is constructed by the combination of necessary computer chips.

Step 5 – Layer Interconnection
Then the clean layers are inspected. The holes are drilled in this step that creates a connection to inner and outer layers.

Now the board forms a shape by fusing. After that, the laminating process begins. Then the prepreg layer goes under the substrate, copper foil, and PCB resin. After that, the copper layer is applied. Pins are punched on the layers to press them together.

After that, they are ready for plating. The fused layers are passed through a chemical solution. These will create a cote panel with thin copper conductive layers.
Step 8 – Planting
Now it’s time to plant the mobile circuit board. A thin tin guard is applied to the circuit. That will protect the inner copper layers.
Step 9 – Apply Solder Mask
After plating and planting, again eating is processed. Then apply an epoxy solder mask film on the circuit board.
Step 10 – Place SilkScreen

What Are The Requirements For Designing Mobile PCBs?

Multilayer PCB Fabrication

Layers are in between 2 to 12 and they are interconnected by the laminations, electroless copper, copper plating, and mechanical drilling.
And then time to fabricate the solder mask. The colors are different for different purposes like green, orange, etc. With a solder mask, solder coating and silkscreen are placed on the circuit board.
Use BUM Technology
During the subtractive process for double layer or multilayer circuit boards, the lead finish is applied as an insulating dielectric on both chemical plating and electrical plating through the holes. This is called BUM technology for manufacturing Mobile PCB. This process is repeatedly run until the circuit layer lamination is fully finished.
Smartphones require small and thin circuit board diagrams. BUM technology makes the PCB thin with higher density. Also keeps the trace space and width lower. For IC-grade high-density packaging, this efficient method is used.
Place Fiducial Marks
Another must-have requirement is the mobile phone PCBs have at least 2 fiducial marks. In phone circuits, the spaces are placed very carefully to arrange flexibility.
The diameter should be 1mm contrasting between the environment and solder mask materials color. If the estate is limited, the solder mask size could be customized as 0.5 mm.
In addition, the fiducial marks should have the same background to make them compatible with copper coating.

Design The Panel

• Double-Side V-Groove Panel
A double-side v-groove panel is more suitable for designing Mobile PCB at a lower cost. Or need to repair them after breaking up. This method works like the neat margin for Mobile circuit boards. The technique is to apply 30 degrees with ⅓ or ¼ of the total circuit thickness. If the ICs with BGA or QFN packages are installed in the device, this method is not appropriate for the application.
• Long-Slot Hole Plus Circular Hole
If the Mobile PCB has more than 4 layers then the LCD board, SIM, and TF cardboard button boards are fabricated by this technique. The Long-slot hole plus circular holes are applied according to the daughterboard’s shape and figure and applied to the irregular or arc shape.

What Problem Comes When Mobile PCBs Tracks Are Broken?
Printed circuit boards have copper conductor lines which are known as PCB traces or tracks. They are the conductive path to pass signals through the circuit board surface. When electricity passes through tracks, a significant amount of heat is produced.
This is one of the reasons for tracks being broken or burnt. Some other factors like excess pressure, Improper component spacing, lightning strikes, severe power surges or shorts, dirt, and carelessness are also responsible for line disconnecting of PCB.
When a track is broken, it affects the functionalities of the Mobile PCB. Sometimes, breaking tracks can stop the total operations of mobile phones.
How Do We Know The Mobile PCB Track Is Broken?
If the mobile phone is not working properly, the common problem behind it is the broken track of the internal circuit boards. There are some other reasons like Chemical Leakage, Electromagnetic Issues, Missing Solder Mask Between Pads, or even defeat in the mobile charger PCB diagram that can cause the malfunction of the device.
Even the broken tracks are not visible to the naked eyes. Then what is the way to know if the Mobile PCB track is broken or not?
Well, the “Line Checking” method is used in the telecommunication industry to find out the broken tracks. The mobile circuit board should have 7 to 10 layers for this checking system. For this technique, the following tools will be needed-
- Analog/Digital multimeter
- Desoldering station
- Soldering gun
- Magnifying glass

The steps of Line checking are as follows-
Step 1 – Visual Inspection
Start with a Visual Inspection, find out anywhere the Mobile PCB board is getting burnt or melted.
Step 2 – Power Module Checking
Then check the power module. For this, you need to check the input and output voltage regulator to give the regular value or not.
Step 3 – I/O Ports Checking
Next step is to check the Input/Output Ports. The damage in I/O ports is also the reason for the malfunction of the mobile phone.
Step 4 – Communication Ports Checking
Check the Communication Ports whether the lines are connected properly or not.
By checking these modules, you will find out whether the PCB tracks are broken or not. If you find the lines are separated for burning, melting, or other reasons, immediately repair them.
